Normally, Manaslu trekking starts from Kathmandu to Arughat or Sothi Khola, The distance is 138 km. But, nearly 100 KM is a gravel road. If you feel uncomfortable driving on the gravel road, Boundless Adventure provides you pick up and drop off by Helicopter even though the beginning of the trekking or at the end of the trekking after the Larkey-La pass. Why Manaslu Helicopter Tour?
As we mentioned above Manaslu region is in the remote and restricted area there is a lack of transportation so the helicopter is the best choice to explore. Because of the construction of the road, it is difficult to go through the road. Likewise, In Rainy season roads will be muddy and landslide might occur, so it is better to have a helicopter flight.
Are Permits Required for Manaslu Trekking?
Yes, it is necessary to have the permit with you even though you are riding a Helicopter. The restricted permits are allowed for a minimum of two people, if you are Solo trekkers, probably we have some other groups contact us. You need three different permits, one is for special permits, (For restricted) Manaslu Conservation Area Permit (MCAP) and Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP) are the three essential permits for Manaslu region trekking.
Food during Manaslu Trekking
Manaslu is still a restacked area. Of course, you can choose on Menu whatever you would like to have your breakfast, lunch and dinner. But we would like to recommend local food. It is fresh and hygienic. Even though you can get Chinese, Italian and continental food along the trail. Just do what does Nepalese does.
Accommodation and Hot Shower for Manaslu Trekking
Manaslu is popular for the teahouse/guest house trekking. Mainly accommodation is not a big issue or problem in this region. Everyone can get a twin sharing based guest house. Usually, the trails are less crowded, and newly made tea houses are available in such a region. Because of the earthquake of 2015 lodges and teahouses were badly destroyed but at present, they are fully recovered and ready to serve the travelers again. Every tea houses have a bucket hot shower and Solar lights for the night, but we suggest, you should have a headlamp with you while you are traveling in Manaslu area.
