Nepal Trekking and Hiking Information

Nepal is one of the independent landlocked and beautiful Himalayan countries in the world. In addition, the Birthplace of Lord Buddha, World heritage and the highest peaks of the world are the identities of Nepal. The vast cultural diversity in a small country is an amazing and interesting topic.

Hiking in Nepal

Hiking in Nepal is considered one of the best and short activities in Nepal. Our Nepal Short Treks team have made some of the best hiking trails in Nepal with the most amazing views. Enjoy the great outdoors of Nepal and be captured by its endless beauty. Our specially designed short hiking itineraries in Nepal are made so you get to enjoy the amazing sceneries of Kathmandu, Nagarkot, Shivapuri, Namobuda and around the Annapurna region.
With our Short Hikes in Nepal, we let our travelers enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the Nepalese Himalayas. Enjoy various wildlife, spot all kinds of birds and walk through the natural landscapes of gentle streams and green forests. Passing by Rural villages, witnessing the culture and traditions is all part of good outdoor hike. Depending on your time and booking choice various hiking routes in Kathmandu can be even linked together to create and even more unique experience.

The best places to hike around Kathmandu
Namobuda is probably one of the most sought after hikes around Kathmandu. Located above the Panauti hill. The trail to this place is gentle and makes for a good outdoor activity. Located near Kathmandu it makes for a perfect 2 days hike in Nepal. Famous for its holy cave whereas legend tells it, Buddha offered he’s own flesh to save the cubs of a dying tigress! The village of Dhulikhel offers us with great overnight opportunities. Inform to our expert team for more info about our Namobuda hike tours.
Another famousdayhike in Kathmandu is Phulchowki hill. Laying south of Kathmandu these trails are full of vegetation and offers hikers great landscape views. Visiting the Botanical Garden at Godawari just adds up to the level of enjoyment during this hiking tour in Kathmandu. On clear days a view of the Gaurishanker can be seen from atop of the Phulchowki hill. Making this 1 day hike in Kathmandu one of the best choices.
The Champadevi one day hike is ideal during full moon periods. Being known as a famous pilgrim site for devotees of the Buddhist culture and Hindu religion. A beautiful hike through Pharping takes us to the Dakshin Kali temple, a revered Hindu Temple housing the Kali goddess. In Champadevi there is a Buddhist Stupa and a Hindu shrine.
These are some of the best places for Boundless Adventure. For any other hiking packages in Nepal please have look at our options, or inquire to our Team.

Trekking Route:

Know before you start your trek in the mountain. Some trekking routes are popular already among trekkers and some are still wilderness in nature. Everest, Annapurna, Langtang are the common routes where well-developed tea house are available and the flow of people are high, so you don’t need to worried about communication and securities.

Trekking Types:

Trekking can be done in two ways: camping and tea house/lodge trek. In wilderness routes due to the lack of lodges for accommodation and food, camping is compulsory. You don’t have the option of self-arrangement. However, in the popular routes, there are well-developed tea houses for food and accommodation. If you want to stay in a camp, still you have the option of it.

Trekking Season:

Autumn and spring season are the best trekking and climbing season in Nepal. The trails are colorful with rhododendron flowers and some more alpine flowers during the spring season and the weather is also great from early morning to until afternoon. Similarly, the weather is very clear from Morning to evening every day in the autumn season.

The autumn season starts from September, October, and November. Although, better to peak climbing in Nepal Himalaya at this period.

Rest of six months do not trek able of the year. June and July have heavily rained in Nepal, The weather is totally bland, but you can trek at rain shadow area in Nepal. We are never recommended you at Annapurna, Langtang, Mount Everest and Manaslu trekking area at this time. We are happily recommending you these trekking during the high season.

Trekking Grade:

Nepal is the Himalayas country in the world. Here are several different trekking and tour areas from Low-land and High-land. Similarly, we have a classification in three different ways up to 3000m is easy trekking, from 3000 to up to 4200m are Moderate and from 4200m to above are challenging Himalaya trip.

Trekking Permits:

It is not allowed to do trekking without trekking permits and TIMS permits (Trekkers’ Information Management System) in Nepal. You can get those Trekking permits and TIMS permits every trekking company in Kathmandu, Nepal. And the other hand, you can get TIMS permits at the City counter of TAAN, Thamel, Kathmandu and National park counter at Bhirikuti Mandap.

TIMS Cost: 20/-US$ per/ Person and 30 US$ for National park permits. But if you are interested to go to a restricted area like Upper Mustang and Manaslu area it cost US$500/- Per person for the first 10 days.

Trekking Staff:

Trekking staff is necessary to have every single trip with you in the Himalaya. They are not only becoming another friend from Nepal, but they are also fully supporting you during your trip. Due to some reason, they are local people, they can easily explain to you every single hidden culture of trekking trails and Nepal. They can carry your heavy loads during the trip; it is another way you may enjoy your Holiday in Nepal. We are rather suggesting you, at list one guide and one porter for two of you.

Flight ascended over the city and took the northeast direction passing below lush green terraced paddy fields.  After some time, the landscape changed, land became arid and untouched. After an hour of flying, we landed in Lukla for refueling.  Lukla in North East Nepal is a small town in the…
