Tibet

Tibet is derived from the Sanskrit word Trivistapa, which means heaven. Tibetans called Bod for their land. Tibet is situated over 4000m and it is the highest plateau in the world. The region is bordered with the highest peak of the World, Mt. Everest (8848m) from south to west and in the north by Thanggula ranges. It consists 70% grassland, from high plateau to the tropical forests. Tibet is also known as the roof of the world.

The history of Tibet goes long back to the thousand of years. Different rulers, especially of religious rulers ruled Tibet in different phases. The Tsanpo's Period had decentralized the country. Then there were the ruling of Sakya, Pagdu, Karmapa and the Gandan Podrang’s. The Tibetan culture is unique and wonderful than the rest of the world, especially that of traditional culture. Throughout the country, people follow the path of Buddhism. It is the land of Dalai Lama, the reincarnation of Lord Buddha. The monuments, arts and architectures and beautiful monasteries are the rich cultural aspects to visit in Tibet. There are several ethnic groups in Tibet, including Menba, Mongols, Lhoba, Hui and Han Chinese are such ethnic groups. The social and cultural practices, any kind of development works and plannings are directly implemented by the central Chinese government.

Tibetan Buddhism and Animism are the major religions in Tibet. They have a special wedding ritual and Funeral processes. Naturally, this autonomous land is prosperous in forests, wildlife and mineral resources. Most of the people are involved in Livestock farming and livestock products. They also do mining, carpets, food processing, building materials and tourism, which have developed as a large industry in Tibet. The climate is very changeable, it is strongly heating in summer and freezing in winter due to the pretty much high elevation.

There are lots of probability and foundations for tourism development, but still many parts are not opened to travel and explore around. Tibet tour and trekking allows travelers to explore the ancient and wonderful heritages. The distinct Tibetan culture and natural heritages are really exciting and stunning.
